Mr. Rosano Yan's Speech at the Closingt Ceremony
Rosano Yan, counselor of Taiwanese-American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Los Angeles (TACCLA) and advisory committee member of Taiwan Overseas Chinese Affairs Commission delivered a speech.
Firstly he extended deep gratitude to the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, Hunan Provincial Government, Changsha People's Government and the Taiwan Affairs Offices of Changsha, Xiangtan, Nanyue, and Zhangjiajie and so on as well as relevant officials and leaders for their warm welcome and careful preparation for their visit. They felt very moved by what they saw and heard in Hunan. He expressed his appreciation by the meticulous preparation work. Taiwan Affairs Office, considering the overseas Taiwan business merchants came from 22 countries. employed 10 college students majoring in foreign languages to do interpretation for the merchants. He remarked that they would introduce the development and opportunities of Hunan to their friends, relatives and media to bring more investment to Hunan and further promote the bilateral cooperation in various fields. And he hoped at last that they can come to Hunan again next year.
Assistant Governor Yuan Jianyao's Speech at the Closing Ceremony
The Assistant Governor of Hunan Provincial People's Government Yuan Jianyao expressed the hope that Taiwan people would pay more attention to Hunan and come to invest here. He said that the 2009 Overseas Taiwan Merchants Business Travel to Hunan has achieved fruitful results thanks to the joint efforts of all parties. He expressed great gratitude to the organizations and units that host this activity and sent his sincere blessings to the overseas Taiwan merchants and friends coming afar.
He said that these days, we learned through communication and exchange with about 200 Taiwan merchants from 22 countries in the world that overseas Taiwan merchants is a significant force in the arena of the world economy. This time the overseas Taiwan merchants get to know through this visit that Hunan enjoys profound culture, rich natural resources, as well as flourishing vigor and vitality in economic development. Both sides know more about each other and will try to further the cooperation to achieve win-win results and common development.
He noted that the state's policy of expanding domestic demand and ensuring economic growth, construction of "Two-oriented" Society in Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan city cluster as well as the industrial transfer from global and coastal areas and other historical opportunities will promote the cooperation between the two sides to a higher level. Hunan will try its best to create a fair, transparent and predictable investment environment for Taiwan merchants.
Finally he wished all the present guests and friends healthy and happy.
